The Purpose:

..of Know God. Know Love. No God. No Love. came after a friendly game of golf.  as i saw my friends beginning their relationship with Christ, the subject of devotions came up. they told me that they had problems with what to read in the Bible and what to pray for. i then asked them “if i write a few verses down and explain it, would you do that for your devotions?” they agreed and this was the beginning of Know God. Know Love. instead of emailing it to them, i originally posted the bulletins on myspace. soon, people began to read them and i saw it as a way of reaching out to others and showing them that Christian or not, we go through the same trials, but if we have God in our lives, it is that much easier.

I do this not for to show how godly i am (because i am still a major work in progress), but to glorify God and share my testimony in hope of impacting peoples’ lives.

In our lives, we need less of us and more of God.. If you have any questions about a particular subject or post, please let me know.

  2. Hi Linda,
Thank you for your encouraging comment! wordpress isn’t like tumblr and other blogging sites where you can follow.

  3. Hi Josh,

I met you and sat next to you at Word of Life tonight.

I just wanted to say thank you for helping me to understand tonight’s sermon and it helped me a lot. Do you sometimes attend this church?

I see Jesus in you and he will use you to minister people.
God is so faithful. He helped me bring my friend tonight.
My friend and I were praying for him for a while that God would open his heart to come to church, so he could experience love of God.

Anyway What ministry do you do in Japan? I am originally from Japan and curious about it.
I am sure there are a lot of needs there.

I will pray for you about your mission in Japan and Philippines.

    Love in Christ,

    Chiha

  4. I came across this site by accident and I’m glad I did. 🙂 You’re doing a great job in writing more about our Lord. I’m blessed with what you’ve been posting.

I share most of your convictions and it’s nice to know that there are people who remain passionate in sharing more about Christ and His unconditional love for us.

Btw, just wondering… why are you interested in going on a mission here in the Philippines?

Anyway, it is my prayer that God would continue to keep that passion of yours burning in your heart. May He always sustain you and may He continue to use you mightily for the furtherance of His kingdom.

God bless you more in all your endeavors! 🙂

  5. Josh…

I’ve seen this all over the place and never really looked into what it was about (although it’s pretty obvious).

Thanks for sharing all the inspiration and encouragement that God pours through you onto us. We truly believe with HIM, you will change the world…

    Blessings,
